What it is
An aftermarket 3-way valve cartridge, built as a direct equivalent to the genuine Saunier Duval part S1006400. It forms the diverter valve section inside these combi boilers, directing hot water either to the central heating circuit or to the domestic hot water (taps) circuit.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No hot water at the taps, or heating doesn't come on, despite the boiler firing
- Water leaking from the diverter valve area
- Lukewarm water that fluctuates between hot and cold
- Boiler switches incorrectly between heating and hot water
Before you order
- Match the part number S1006400 against the cartridge fitted in your boiler
- Isolate electrical power and the water supply before removing the cartridge
- Have the part fitted by a Gas Safe registered engineer
