What it is
The Andrews Z398 is a P9 O-ring specified for hot water resistance and supplied by Andrews Water Heaters for their water heater range. It is used as the seal at the high limit thermostat, where the joint is exposed to hot water. It is a small service part, replaced when the existing ring hardens, splits or weeps.
