What it is
The Z255 is a display control wiring harness manufactured by Andrews Water Heaters. It connects the appliance display to the control circuit on Andrews water heaters, carrying the display signals between the two. It is listed as a display control harness for the Andrews Classicflo and Ecoflo ranges.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The display is blank, dim or shows no readout while the appliance otherwise runs
- Display information cuts in and out intermittently, particularly when the casing is moved or disturbed
- Fault codes or erratic readings appear that trace to the display connection rather than the control board
- Visible damage to the harness, such as chafed, pinched or broken conductors, or a loose or corroded plug
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and series from the data plate, as several Classicflo and Ecoflo variants use different harnesses
- Check the existing harness plug and connector pin count against the Z255 part
- Inspect the display end and control board end for damaged pins before fitting a new harness
- Isolate the appliance from the electrical supply before removing or refitting the harness
