What it is
The Andrews Flame Safety Device 80 is a flame safety component supplied under part number Z007 for Andrews water heaters. It forms part of the flame safety valve, sensor and device group used to monitor and shut off the gas supply when a flame is not proven. It is listed by the manufacturer under Andrews hot water spares for boiler-type appliances.
Before you order
- Confirm the existing component is marked with part number Z007 before ordering.
- Check that the appliance is an Andrews water heater, as this device is listed for that range.
- Verify the device designation 80 against the unit being worked on, since flame safety components are not interchangeable across designations.
- Confirm the fault lies with the flame safety device itself rather than the ignition or gas control circuit.
