What it is
The ProWarm XPSSTANDARD10 ProFoam insulation board is a 6mm extruded polystyrene (XPS) board from Protherm, supplied as a 10m pack. It is laid beneath underfloor heating systems to limit downward heat loss and improve the response of the heated floor build-up. The boards are part of the ProWarm underlay range and are used as a continuous insulating layer under pipe or cable systems.
Before you order
- Confirm the 6mm board thickness suits the planned floor build-up and finished floor height.
- Check the 10m pack coverage against the floor area to be insulated, allowing for cutting and offcuts.
- Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry and level before laying the boards.
- Check that the boards will be butted tightly together and taped at the joints before the heating system is installed.
