The XG226 is Gledhill's 25 litre, 3 bar expansion vessel, fitted to accommodate the expansion of water as it heats within a sealed system.
Signs this part needs replacing
- System pressure creeps up repeatedly after repressurising
- Pressure relief valve discharging more often than normal
- Vessel feels waterlogged (no give when pressed) rather than springy
