What it is
The Gledhill Tundish is a discharge fitting used on unvented hot water cylinders, providing a visible air gap where the safety discharge pipework terminates. It is manufactured by Gledhill for use across the Accolade, Gulfstream and Stainless Lite cylinder families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water escaping from around the tundish rather than discharging cleanly through it
- Visible scaling, debris or blockage restricting flow through the tundish body
- Cracks, distortion or physical damage to the tundish
- Discharge pipework terminating without a correctly positioned tundish in place
- Signs of overflow or spillage on the surrounding fabric of the airing cupboard
