What it is
The Gledhill XC007 is a thermostatic mixing valve used in Gledhill thermal store and hot water cylinder systems. It blends stored hot water with cold mains water to deliver a controlled outlet temperature. It is fitted across the Gledhill Boilermate, Pulsacoil, Gulstream and Torrent appliance families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Domestic hot water runs hot and cold or fluctuates at the tap regardless of draw-off rate
- Outlet temperature settles well above or below the intended set point
- Poor hot water temperature control when the appliance is under demand
- Water temperature at the outlet changes noticeably between low and high flow rates
- Visible scale, corrosion or leakage around the valve body
