What it is
The Gledhill XB341 is a switch heating element used in Gledhill thermal stores. It forms part of the heating circuit on the Boilermate 2000 and Systemate 2000, where it heats the stored domestic hot water. It is supplied as a replacement component for a failed element.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No hot water, or noticeably reduced hot water, from the store
- The element does not heat when the circuit is energised
- The RCD or circuit breaker trips when the element circuit is switched on
- Continuity across the element terminals reads open circuit
- Visible corrosion, damage or scorching around the element terminals
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance is a Gledhill Boilermate 2000 or Systemate 2000
- Check the existing part number against XB341
- Isolate the electrical supply before removing or fitting the element
- Confirm the fault lies with the element rather than the thermostat or control
