What it is
The Grundfos 15/60 pump is a circulator pump supplied by Gledhill under part number XB241 for use in its thermal store and cylinder appliances. It moves water around the primary circuit, so it sits at the centre of the heating and hot water performance of the unit. The pump is listed for the Boilermate and Accolade families as well as the Systemate 2000.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The pump runs but the appliance stays cold, with no heat reaching the cylinder or radiators
- Grinding, humming or rattling from the pump body that continues after bleeding
- The pump is hot to touch but the circulation pipework either side stays cool
- The pump does not start at all when the appliance calls for heat
- Repeated air locking or a pump that seizes after a period of standing
