What it is

The Gledhill XB121 is a 22mm ball type pump isolating valve used on Gledhill thermal store and water heating appliances. It fits at the pump outlet and allows the pump to be isolated from the system for servicing or replacement. The ball type design shuts off flow through the 22mm connection when the valve is closed.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water weeping from the valve body or spindle
  • The valve handle turns but flow is not shut off
  • The valve is seized and cannot be operated
  • Dripping from the compression connections at either end
  • Corrosion or scale build-up around the valve body
