What it is
The WinsertKIT is a Wiska sealing insert kit, designed to be used inside a stuffing or compression cable gland to create a weatherproof seal around twin and earth or alarm cable as it enters an enclosure.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Existing gland insert is perished, cracked or no longer sealing against water ingress
- Cable entry point shows signs of water penetration into the enclosure
- Insert has hardened or shrunk after long-term outdoor exposure
Before you order
- Isolate electrical power before working on any cable gland or enclosure
- Confirm the cable type (flat twin and earth, round or multi-core) to select the correct insert
- Check the gland body itself is not damaged, as the insert alone will not seal a cracked gland
