What it is
A 13A, 2 gang switched socket outlet with an integrated Type A and Type C USB charging outlet, from the Scolmore Click Deco range. It is finished in polished chrome with a white insert and gasket, and uses the Victorian square edge plate design.
Signs this part needs replacing
- A USB port no longer charges a device, or charges much more slowly than before
- The socket plate is cracked, loose, or the switch rockers feel spongy
- Scorch marks, discolouration or a burning smell around the plate
- An electrical inspection (EICR) flags the accessory as unsatisfactory
Before you order
- Isolate the circuit at the consumer unit before removing the old plate
- Match gang count, USB configuration and back box depth to your existing installation
- Have a qualified/registered electrician carry out the replacement
