What it is
The Complete Baffle Set is a Grant baffle assembly for the Vortex ECO range of condensing oil boilers. The baffles sit within the heat exchanger flueways and direct the passage of combustion gases, so the set is central to how the boiler recovers heat. This set is specified for the 15/21 kW and 21/26 kW output versions of the Vortex ECO.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Reduced heat recovery, with the flue gas temperature reading noticeably higher than expected
- Rising fuel consumption for the same heat output
- Boiler short-cycling or struggling to reach set temperature
- Visible damage, distortion, corrosion or heavy soot build-up on the baffles during a service
- Baffles found loose, misaligned or missing from the flueways
