What it is
The Ravenheat 8 Litre Expansion Vessel – 3/8 Inch BSP Thread is a boiler expansion vessel with a 3/8 inch BSP threaded connection. It absorbs pressure changes in the heating system as water volume increases with temperature. It is used in compatible Ravenheat WH and White HEAT boiler models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler pressure rises sharply when the heating is running.
- The pressure relief valve discharges water, including from the external discharge pipe.
- System pressure falls repeatedly and needs frequent topping up.
- The pressure gauge shows high pressure when hot and low pressure when cold.
- Water or corrosion is visible around the vessel connection or body.
Before you order
- Confirm the existing vessel capacity is 8 litre and the connection is 3/8 inch BSP.
- Check the boiler model against the Fits list.
- Check the system pressure and pressure relief valve before fitting the vessel.
- Confirm there is enough access and clearance to remove and refit the vessel.
