What it is

The Vaillant 193590 is an ignition cable for Vaillant gas-fired heating appliances. It carries the high-voltage supply from the ignition unit to the spark electrode, generating the spark that lights the burner during start-up. The lead is supplied as a single replacement cable for servicing and fault repair, and is fitted in place of the original item when the existing lead breaks down.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The appliance fails to ignite, with no spark visible at the electrode
  • Repeated lockouts on start-up that clear after a reset
  • Intermittent ignition, particularly in damp or cold conditions
  • Cracked, brittle or scorched insulation along the lead
  • Spark tracking along the cable instead of at the electrode tip
  • A loose or corroded terminal at either end of the lead

Before you order

  • Confirm the number 193590 against the marking on the existing cable or the appliance data plate.
  • Check the appliance model and serial number, as Vaillant uses different ignition leads across its ranges.
  • Inspect the spark electrode and its sealing washer at the same time; a worn electrode can produce symptoms that look like a cable fault.
  • Route the replacement lead clear of hot surfaces and sharp edges when fitting.
  • This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
