Vaillant 0020148381 EcoTEC Plus Gas Valve Section With Regulator (Post 2012)

The Vaillant 0020148381 is a gas section supplied complete with its regulator. It forms part of the gas train on ecoTEC Plus, VU and VUW appliances, where it meters and stabilises the gas supply reaching the burner.

Because it carries gas and incorporates the regulator, the assembly directly affects combustion quality, ignition reliability and modulation behaviour. It is a serviceable component rather than a consumable, and is normally replaced when the regulator or the gas section body itself is found to be at fault.

• The burner fails to light or lights intermittently despite a healthy ignition and detection circuit
• Unstable or fluctuating flame, with the appliance hunting for a stable modulation point
• Gas pressure at the burner drifting outside the expected range when checked at the test point
• Whistling, humming or other abnormal noise from the gas train during firing
• Combustion readings that cannot be brought into specification after servicing the burner and heat exchanger

• This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
• Check the appliance data badge and serial number to confirm the exact model and variant before ordering.
• Compare the part number on the existing gas section with 0020148381 to confirm it is the correct assembly.
• Inspect the mating joints and seals on removal, as these are disturbed when the gas section is replaced.
