What it is

The Honeywell V4043H1056 is a two-port motorised zone valve from the Honeywell V4043H range, built with a 22mm compression connection and a 240V actuator head. It is supplied in the closed position and carries an auxiliary switch, so the valve can signal the boiler and pump once it has travelled to the open position.

In a domestic heating system the valve sits on a single circuit and controls water flow to that zone. A room thermostat or programmer energises the motor, the valve opens, the auxiliary switch makes, and the boiler and pump are brought on to serve that circuit. When demand ends, the motor is de-energised and the spring return drives the valve back to closed.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • One zone stays cold while the rest of the system heats normally, or a circuit remains hot when it should be shut off
  • The actuator head hums or buzzes when the zone is called but the valve does not move through its full travel
  • The manual lever feels slack or fails to latch the valve open against the spring return
  • Water weeps from the valve body or from around the spindle gland
  • The auxiliary switch does not bring on the boiler or pump when the valve reaches the open position

Before you order

  • Confirm the connection size and supply voltage match the valve being replaced.
  • Check the part number stamped or printed on the existing actuator head or valve body.
  • Inspect the existing seals and gaskets before refitting the valve body.
  • Isolate the electrical supply to the heating controls before any work on the actuator or wiring.
