What it is
An isolation valve made by Ultra Compact Ltd, fitted as the first shut-off point on a domestic or light commercial bottom-outlet fuel oil storage tank, operated here by a 15mm square head adapter rather than a lever.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Valve will not fully shut off the oil supply
- Leaking around the body or spindle
- Square head adapter worn, rounded or stuck
- Visible corrosion on the brass body
Before you order
- Confirm the tank outlet is 1" BSPT and the downstream connection is 1/2" BSPP
- Isolate and drain the tank outlet before fitting
- Fit with a 36mm socket or box spanner
