What it is
The ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY is a Nuway ignition electrode supplied as part number U90338C. It is a single electrode designed for the Ngn2 range of Nuway gas burners, where it provides the spark path used to light the burner. The assembly is fitted as a serviceable item within the burner.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Burner fails to ignite, or ignition is intermittent
- No spark visible at the electrode when the burner is called to fire
- Visible cracking, chipping or erosion of the electrode insulator
- Heavy sooting, corrosion or contamination of the electrode tip
- Spark tracking to earth instead of across the ignition gap
