The Honeywell TotalHome 22mm 3 port mid position zone valve is a motorised valve that controls the flow of water between the heating circuit and the hot water cylinder in a Y plan system. It is part of the Honeywell TotalHome range of domestic heating controls. In service, the valve moves to a mid position to supply both circuits at once, or drives fully across to serve heating or hot water on their own.

• Heating runs when only hot water is called for, or hot water runs when only heating is called for
• The cylinder does not heat while the heating circuit is working normally
• The manual lever feels stiff, jammed or will not sit in its detent
• The actuator head buzzes, clicks repeatedly or shows no movement when a demand is present
• Radiators warm up during hot water only periods

• Confirm the pipework at the valve is 22mm and that the existing valve is a 3 port mid position type
• Establish whether the fault lies in the actuator head or the valve body before ordering
• Note the existing wiring arrangement so the replacement can be connected for Y plan operation
• Have the appliance model and serial number to hand when checking compatibility
