What it is
The SOS 10mm Snug-Fit tube liner is a CNC-machined brass liner, made in England, fitted inside soft copper tube to support the pipe wall when a compression fitting is tightened. The snug-fit version is sized for a close fit against pipe that's been de-burred after cutting, and meets BS 2871 Part 1 Table W / EN 1057 for 10mm microbore soft copper.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Oil weeping from a compression joint on soft copper tube
- Pipe crushed or ovalised under the compression olive
- A joint that won't seal even after retightening
- No liner found fitted when remaking an existing joint
Before you order
- De-burr the cut end of the pipe before fitting a snug-fit liner (the loose-fit version doesn't need this step)
- Confirm your pipe is 10mm soft copper
- Fit one liner per joint, before the compression nut is tightened
