What it is
The Tesla TIHTS572 is a titanium immersion heater with a 1 3/4" thread and a 14" element length, supplied with a T-Smart control. It is designed for vented hot water cylinders, where it heats the stored water under the control of the T-Smart thermostat.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No hot water, or water that only runs lukewarm
- The immersion heater trips the RCD or MCB when switched on
- The element is heavily scaled or corroded
- The thermostat fails to switch the element on or off
- Water weeps from the thread or cylinder boss
