What it is
An electronic resistance-type thermistor temperature sensor made by Honeywell (sensor type T7335D1115U), used as Baxi's part 244540 (previously coded 246064) in the Solo 3 boiler range. Unlike a flame-sensing thermocouple, it works by changing electrical resistance with temperature and feeds that signal to the boiler's control PCB.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler displays a sensor or temperature fault code
- No heat, or erratic/inconsistent temperature control
- Boiler short-cycles or won't fire due to a sensor fault
- Resistance reading is out of specification when tested with a meter
