What it is
A short-length pilot thermocouple built to the "interrupter" pattern, catalogued as T109-180/I. An interrupter-type thermocouple briefly breaks its own circuit as part of the ignition sequence, giving a faster, more positive flame-failure cut-off than a standard pilot thermocouple on the appliances it's designed for.
