What it is
Sentinel X100 is a leave-in central heating system inhibitor, a clear pale yellow to amber liquid with a specific gravity of 1.10. It protects clean central heating systems, including those containing aluminium, against limescale and corrosion using Sentinel's TripleTech anti-corrosion technology.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Radiators with cold spots, especially towards the bottom
- Noisy boiler or pump, or banging/kettling sounds
- Black sludge or discoloured water when bleeding a radiator
- System water that has not previously been dosed, or has recently been drained and refilled
Before you order
- Check whether the system has been chemically flushed; a flush is normally carried out before first dosing
- Confirm total system volume so the correct number of bottles is ordered
- Not a substitute for a power flush on a heavily sludged system
