What it is
The FireAngel SW1-PF-T is a mains-powered optical smoke alarm with a replaceable 9V battery back-up and a push-fit base for faster installation. It uses optical sensing technology and is certified to EN 14604:2005+AC:2008.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The alarm chirps intermittently even after the battery has been replaced
- The alarm fails to respond when the test button is pressed
- The alarm is more than 10 years old (the standard replacement interval for smoke alarms)
- Visible yellowing, cracking or physical damage to the casing
Before you order
- Isolate the mains supply before removing or replacing a hardwired alarm
- Check whether your installation is interlinked, and replace with the same model to keep the interlink working
- Confirm whether a push-fit base (as fitted to this model) or a different base type is required
