Zip Element Kit 3.0kW 240V SP90530

The Zip SP90530 is a 3.0kW, 240V replacement element kit for the Zip Hydroboil family of wall-mounted water boilers. It is the heating element assembly that brings the stored water in the cylinder up to temperature and holds it there under thermostat control. It is supplied as a kit for service replacement on the models listed below.

• Water runs cold, or only lukewarm, with the unit powered and calling for heat
• The boiler takes noticeably longer to reach temperature, or cycles on and off without holding temperature
• The element or its terminals show blackening, pitting, corrosion or a bulged sheath
• Repeated tripping of the circuit breaker or RCD when the boiler heats
• The element has failed after scaling or has been disturbed during descaling or seal replacement

• Confirm the rating on the existing element matches 3.0kW at 240V, as incorrect ratings are not interchangeable
• Check the exact Hydroboil model and capacity against the fit list above
• Inspect the element gasket and flange sealing face, and replace seals as required before refitting
• Isolate the electrical supply and drain the unit before dismantling
