What it is
The Tap Top Assembly is a replacement tap top kit manufactured by Zip for its Econoboil and Hydroboil range of wall-mounted water boilers. It sits at the top of the dispensing tap and provides the operating mechanism for drawing hot water from the unit. The assembly is supplied under part number SP90501.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The tap lever or top mechanism becomes stiff, loose or fails to return
- Water continues to run after the tap is released
- The tap top feels slack or no longer seats correctly on the tap body
- Visible wear, cracking or damage to the top assembly
- Dripping from the tap that is traced to the top mechanism rather than the seat or seals
