What it is
The Kinder SP10322 Slide Valve Conversion Kit is a slide valve assembly supplied by Kinder for use with the Kalahari PF SC NG appliance. It is the valve component that the slide control operates to set the fire's heat output. The kit allows the existing valve arrangement on the listed appliance to be converted to the slide valve configuration.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The slide control no longer moves smoothly through its travel, or feels stiff or notchy
- The fire does not respond when the slide control is moved
- The selected heat setting will not hold and the valve drifts away from the setting chosen
- The valve fails to shut down the burner when the slide control is returned to the off position
- Visible damage, corrosion or sooting around the valve body or its linkage
