What it is
The E7+ (SCE100-000) is a Bluetooth-enabled smart hot water programmer made by Secure, successor to Horstmann's Electronic 7 range. It controls one or two 3kW immersion heater elements independently, timed to make the most of off-peak electricity tariffs.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Timer fails to switch the immersion on or off as programmed
- Display or app no longer connects via Bluetooth
- Boost function stops responding
- Old Economy 7/Electronic 7 control is failing or obsolete
Before you order
- Confirm you are replacing a Horstmann/Secure Economy 7 or Electronic 7 controller
- Check whether you also want the SCW100-000 Wi-Fi adaptor (sold separately) for remote control
- Isolate the electrical supply before fitting
