What it is
The SATKF2040 is a control valve cartridge manufactured by Caleffi for use in the Caleffi HIU range. It forms the moving control element inside the SATK32 heat interface unit, regulating flow through the valve body. The cartridge is a serviceable component, allowing the valve function to be restored without replacing the complete valve assembly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Domestic hot water temperature fluctuating or drifting from the set point
- No hot water demand response, or the valve failing to open or close
- Valve sticking, seizing or failing to modulate smoothly
- Water passing through the valve when it should be shut
- Weeping or dripping from the cartridge or valve spindle area
Before you order
- Confirm the heat interface unit is a Caleffi SATK32
- Check the existing cartridge part number against SATKF2040
- Inspect the valve body and seating for scale or debris before fitting a new cartridge
- Isolate and depressurise the unit before removal
