What it is
The Baxi S62750 is an ignition transformer supplied without a lead. It sits within the boiler's ignition circuit and steps up the supply voltage to produce the spark at the ignition electrode that lights the burner. The part is used across the Baxi Avanta range of gas boilers.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to light and goes to lockout during the start-up sequence
- No spark is visible at the ignition electrode when there is a call for heat
- The boiler locks out repeatedly and needs resetting each time
- Ignition is intermittent, with the burner lighting on some attempts but not others
- A clicking noise is heard from the transformer area but no spark is produced at the electrode
