What it is
The Glow-worm S5720200 is a domestic hot water (DHW) thermistor sensor supplied with a cable and finished in black. It monitors DHW temperature on Glow-worm GW, Xtrafast and Xtramax boilers and their Saunier Duval equivalents, feeding the reading back to the appliance control board. It replaces earlier code 801910.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Hot water temperature fluctuates, or runs consistently hot or cold
- The boiler does not register a DHW demand
- A DHW-related fault code or lockout appears on the control panel
- Erratic or implausible temperature readings at the sensor
- Intermittent hot water during draw-off
