What it is
A 1/2 inch sanitary washer manufactured by Glow-worm, supplied in a pack of 50. It is a sealing component used at 1/2 inch connections on Glow-worm domestic gas boilers, forming a watertight joint between mating faces. The washer compresses under tightening to take up surface imperfections and prevent weeping at the connection.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible weeping or a slow drip at a 1/2 inch connection
- Water staining, corrosion or limescale tracking around the joint
- The washer has hardened, flattened or cracked with age and no longer seals
- A leak reappears shortly after the connection has been tightened
- The washer is missing or damaged after a component has been removed and refitted
Before you order
