What it is
The Potterton Rope Seal X 2160MM is a sealing rope supplied by Potterton Commercial for use on its NXR4 range of sectional commercial boilers. It is fitted to form a gas-tight joint at the boiler casing or section joints, where a flexible woven seal is required rather than a flat gasket. The supplied length is 2160mm, allowing it to be cut and dressed to the joint on site.

- Signs of leakage or staining at the boiler casing or section joint
- Seal hardened or brittle so it no longer compresses and seats correctly
