What it is
The Broag thermostat pocket L&G round 15 is a brass pocket that houses a temperature sensor or thermostat probe on Broag commercial boiler plant. It is listed within the Broag commercial spare parts range. The pocket shields the probe from direct contact with the system water while still transferring heat to it for accurate sensing.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or a visible damp track at the pocket where it screws into the pipework or fitting
- Corrosion, pitting or a green/white deposit around the pocket body or thread
- Heavy scale or sludge build-up inside the pocket, causing slow or inaccurate temperature readings
- Damaged or cross-threaded connection that will not seal or seat correctly
- Sensor probe no longer sits securely in the pocket
Before you order
- Confirm the 15mm pocket size and L&G round pattern match the fitting on your appliance
- Check the appliance model against the manufacturer's parts list to confirm S35949 is the correct item
- Inspect the existing pocket thread and sealing arrangement before removal so the replacement can be fitted without adaptors
- Have the system isolated and drained as required before swapping the pocket
