What it is
The S155600001 is a Saunier Duval heating safety valve (pressure relief valve) in 1/2in size, supplied complete with its sealing O-ring. It stops pressure build-up within the heating system by venting as pressure rises, so the system does not reach a dangerous level.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Valve weeping or dripping water continuously
- Valve fails to vent when system pressure rises, or vents at the wrong pressure
- Visible corrosion, scale build-up or a seized spindle
- O-ring perished or leaking at the valve seat
Before you order
- Match the part number and thread size against your existing valve
- Isolate and depressurise the heating system before removal
- Have a Gas Safe registered engineer carry out the replacement if it involves the gas side of the appliance
