Broag Heat Exchanger Insulation 8 Sections S103308

The HEAT EXCHANGER INSULATION 8 SECTIONS is an insulation blanket supplied by Broag for the heat exchanger on Broag Commercial GAS 320 ACE and GAS 620 ACE boilers. It is made up of eight sections that wrap the heat exchanger to reduce standing heat loss and keep the casing surfaces at a safe working temperature. It is a service part, so the existing blanket must be removed before fitting.

• The blanket is crumbling, flaking or breaking up when touched
• Sections have detached from the heat exchanger surface and no longer sit in place
• The insulation is wet, damp or stained from a leak or condensate
• Heat exchanger surfaces are left exposed, increasing heat loss from the appliance
• Localised scorching or discolouration on the blanket material

• Confirm the boiler model and output variant matches one of the GAS 320 ACE or GAS 620 ACE listings above
• Check the number of sections required against what is currently fitted to the heat exchanger
• Inspect the heat exchanger for leaks or damage before refitting insulation, as damp insulation will degrade again
• Allow for a full strip-down of the heat exchanger area, since the existing blanket will need to be removed first
