What it is

This is a Broag Commercial silicone tube, supplied under the product name SILICONE TUBE 4/8 1300 MM. It is a flexible silicone hose used as a spare part on Broag Commercial gas-fired boilers. Silicone construction is specified where the tube must tolerate the elevated temperatures found around boiler components.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The tube has hardened or become brittle with heat exposure
  • Visible cracking, splitting or perishing along the wall of the tube
  • Weeping or staining at the tube ends where it pushes onto its connections
  • The tube no longer grips its spigots and can be pulled off easily
  • Discolouration or flattening where the tube has been crushed or overheated
