What it is
The INSPECTION HATCH HEAT EXCHANGER 10 SECTIONS is a Broag access plate supplied for the commercial boiler range, used to close and seal the inspection opening on a ten-section heat exchanger. It allows the heat exchanger internals to be inspected and cleaned, then refitted to restore a gas-tight, water-tight joint. This is a Broag Commercial spare part for the GAS 320 ACE and GAS 620 ACE boiler families.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion, pitting or distortion on the plate face or sealing edge
- Weeping or staining around the inspection opening after the boiler has run up to temperature
- Sealing face scored, flattened or damaged so it will not sit flush against the heat exchanger
- Threaded fixing points worn, stripped or unable to hold the plate under clamping load
- Cracking or warping identified during a routine heat exchanger inspection
