What it is

Silicone sealing cord manufactured by Broag for its Commercial GAS 320 ACE and GAS 620 ACE boiler range. The cord has a 10 mm diameter and is supplied in a 5 m length. It forms a heat-resistant seal between mating components and is a consumable item replaced during servicing or repair.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The cord is flattened, hardened or brittle and no longer compresses to fill the joint.
  • Visible cracking, crumbling or loss of material along the cord.
  • Discolouration or glazing after repeated heat cycling.
  • Signs of leakage or weeping at the sealed joint.
  • The old cord breaks up on removal and cannot be reused.
