What it is
The S1006400 is a genuine Saunier Duval 3-way diverter valve cartridge. It is the directional water device found in combi boilers that switches the flow of hot water between the central heating circuit (radiators) and the domestic hot water circuit (taps).
Signs this part needs replacing
- Hot water runs cold as soon as a heating demand starts, or vice versa
- Radiators stay cold while the boiler fires for hot water only
- Water hammer or a grinding/ticking noise from the valve body
- Cross-flow between heating and hot water circuits
