Johnson & Starley Pilot Tube Kit S01565

The pilot tube kit is a Johnson & Starley component for the mid position pilot arrangement on the Hispec J40 boiler. It supplies the pilot gas feed to the pilot burner so the flame can be established and proved before the main burner is allowed to fire. The kit is supplied as a pilot tube assembly for this specific appliance.

• The pilot flame will not stay lit or repeatedly goes out
• The pilot flame is weak, unstable or noticeably yellow rather than a steady blue
• The boiler fails to establish a pilot flame during the ignition sequence
• The pilot tube is kinked, crushed, cracked or shows signs of corrosion
• The pilot tube connection is loose or leaking at either end

• Confirm the appliance model is the Johnson & Starley Hispec J40
• Check that the existing pilot is the mid position type before ordering
• Inspect the pilot tube routing and connections so the replacement can be fitted correctly
