What it is

The RXRT510 is a wall-mounted radio frequency boiler receiver from Salus Controls. It pairs with a thermostat from the Mix and Match range and switches the boiler according to the demand signal it receives over 868MHz RF. The unit can be wired for either a 230V switched output or a volt free output, so it suits a wide spread of boiler control arrangements.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The boiler does not fire when the thermostat calls for heat, even though the thermostat display responds.
  • Heating runs continuously and does not shut down when demand is removed.
  • The receiver fails to respond to the thermostat after re-binding, or drops the pairing repeatedly.
  • Manual override on the receiver has no effect on the boiler.
  • Intermittent operation that tracks with distance from the thermostat or with the building fabric between the two units.

Before you order

  • Confirm the existing receiver is an RXRT510 and note the wiring arrangement, since the replacement can be configured for 230V or volt free switching.
  • Check the thermostat in use is from the Salus Controls Mix and Match range so the RF pairing will be supported.
  • Allow for re-binding the thermostat to the new receiver after installation, and check the communication path between the two units is clear.
