What it is
Regin braided glass yarn is a heat-resistant sealing cord supplied at 6 mm diameter in a 5 metre pack. The braided construction gives the cord a consistent round profile for seating into narrow grooves and channels. It is used as a sealing cord on heating appliances and associated fittings.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The yarn is frayed, flattened or has lost its round profile
- The cord has hardened or become brittle with heat
- The seal no longer fills the groove or compresses properly
- Visible charring, discolouration or gaps at the joint
Before you order
- Confirm the groove or channel requires a 6 mm diameter cord
- Measure the length of seal required against the 5 m pack
- Check the appliance manufacturer's parts list for the correct cord specification
