What it is
Regin REGQ130 brass olives sized for 15 mm pipe, supplied in a pack of six. The olive is the sealing element in a compression joint, compressing onto the pipe as the nut is tightened to form a watertight connection. It is a consumable item used when making or remaking joints on copper pipework.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Weeping or dripping at a compression joint after tightening
- Olive visibly crushed, distorted or cracked
- Corrosion or pitting on the olive surface
- Joint fails to seal when re-made using the existing olive
- Olive seized to the pipe and scored during removal
Before you order
- Confirm the pipework is 15 mm
- Check how many joints need making or remaking
- Inspect the compression nut and body for damage before reuse
- Allow for cutting back pipe where an old olive cannot be removed cleanly
