What it is
Regin REGL40 is a 500ml central heating inhibitor from Regin, dosed into the system water of a domestic central heating system. It is used to inhibit corrosion and scale within the appliance and the radiators it serves. One 500ml bottle is sufficient for a system of up to 10 radiators.
Signs this part needs replacing
- System water runs black or discoloured when a radiator is bled
- Cold spots form at the bottom of radiators as sludge collects
- Boiler noise or kettling that points to poor water quality
- The system has recently been drained down or repaired and refilled without inhibitor
