What it is
The RC4 is a rubber washer screwdown tap cartridge insert made by Inventive Creations. It screws into a 1/2in tap body and provides the washer mechanism that seals the tap when closed, for both hot and cold applications.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Tap drips or will not fully shut off
- Increasing effort needed to turn the tap head
- Washer perished, split or hardened
- Water hammer or knocking when the tap is closed
Before you order
- Match the spline pattern to your existing insert, not just the part name
- Isolate the water supply before removing the tap head
- Buy matching hot and cold inserts if both are worn
