What it is
The Unicrimp QCW25 is a CW-type cable gland from the Q-Crimp range, cast in brass to BS2874 and approved to BS6121 part 1. CW glands seal onto the outer sheath of steel wire armoured (SWA) cable and provide mechanical retention and electrical continuity through the armour wires.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The gland body or shroud has cracked, corroded or lost its seal
- The armour clamping ring will no longer grip the cable armour securely
- The earth tag connection has loosened or corroded
